In Harem's Way offers professional performances in both the 'traditional' and 'tribal' bellydance styles. We are proud of our South African roots, and we dance our signature styles with pride. But that's not all we can do, so if you are looking for something different or have a specific approach in mind, feel free to get in touch.
Costuming and Style
Although the nature of belly dance is to allow individual expression in each costume [half of the fun for the audience is in discovering the intricate details of each dancer’s unique costume!], we do also coordinate costume style and color, and can even completely unify our costuming if necessary.
So, if the event's the opening of the hippest new night spot, we'll haul out the slinky pharonic skirts, turn up the bass and, well, 'clubbing' never looked so gorgeous! If it's glitz and shimmer you're after, you'll need sunglasses just to watch the show after we're done dressing it up. And for you gypsies at heart, our fabulous Bedouin/Romany option is for you.
For special events with a theme we are always willing to try to match in. So if you are having a silver and blue wedding, or a pink birthday bash, we’ll try to costume accordingly. Just let us know! Our gallery gives some fabulous examples of these different costume styles
